Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 2, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how the mobile application Owedly (“the App”) handles information when you use it. By using the App, you agree to this policy.

Summary: The App is designed to store your projects, payment tracking, preferences, and related data locally on your device. We do not operate a login or cloud sync service for your financial data as part of the core App experience described here. You are responsible for exporting backups if you want a copy outside the device.

1. Who we are

The App is provided by the developer / publisher identified on the Google Play listing (“we”, “us”). For privacy-related requests, contact us using the email on our Support page.

2. Information stored on your device

The App may store locally, including but not limited to:

  • Project names, client names, amounts, deadlines, payment lines, payment history entries, and similar data you enter.
  • App preferences such as theme, currency display, payment method labels, and reminder settings.
  • A flag indicating whether onboarding has been completed, and other small settings needed for the App to function.

This data is kept in on-device storage (for example via the platform’s local storage APIs). It is not transmitted to our servers by the App solely for the purpose of providing the features described in this policy, unless you use a separate feature that explicitly uses the network (see Section 5).

3. Notifications

If you enable payment reminders, the App may schedule local notifications on your device based on due dates and your settings. Notification scheduling is handled by the operating system; content is derived from data already on your device. You can disable reminders in the App or in system settings.

4. Files, sharing, and backups

The App may allow you to:

  • Pick or save files (for example when importing or exporting backup data) using the system document picker or file APIs.
  • Share or open files through standard Android share sheets where applicable.

When you export a backup, a copy of your data is written to a location you choose (or shared to another app you select). We do not receive that file unless you send it to us voluntarily (for example by email).

5. Network and third parties

The App may include capabilities that could use the network (for example, libraries present in the application package or future features). Unless a feature clearly states otherwise, core financial tracking data you enter is not uploaded to our servers as part of the default local-first workflow.

Google Play and device platform: Google and your device manufacturer process certain technical data when you install and use apps (for example crash diagnostics if you opt in, Play billing if you purchase through Play, etc.) under their own policies.

6. Children’s privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). Do not use the App to collect personal information from children without appropriate consent.

7. Data retention and deletion

Data remains on your device until you delete it in the App, uninstall the App, or clear the App’s storage. Uninstalling or clearing data may permanently erase information that you did not export. We cannot restore data removed from your device.

8. Security

We rely on your device’s operating system protections. You should keep your device updated and use a lock screen. Avoid sharing backups with untrusted parties—they may contain your project and payment details.

9. International users

Because data is stored locally, processing largely occurs on your device. If you contact us by email, your message will be processed according to how we operate our inbox.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

11. Contact
